The food giveaway program has ended and we would like to thank all of those who participated in making these giveaways happen.  We would like to thank our staff, all of our wonderful volunteers, community leaders and partners.  We would like to thank everyone in our community!!!!  We have such a great community!!!

Everyone in Lee County and surrounding areas are welcome to participate.  There is no paperwork to fill out, nothing to qualify for.  This is about neighbors helping neighbors and communities working together to provide support during these difficult times. 

* FOOD GIVEAWAY STARTS AT 12:00 PM AT THE TUPELO FURNITURE MARKET. Located at 1879 Coley Rd., Tupelo MS.  The Family Resource Center of North Mississippi will team up once again with partners for Round 6 of the USDA Farmers to Families Food Box distribution starting back on April 7th, 2021. 

The food boxes are combo boxes, which include meat, produce and dairy.  These boxes are free to anyone who would like to participate.

The Family Resource Center of North Mississippi has partnered with Mid-South Food Bank, Mississippi Crisis Foundation, Pam Chatman, M. Palazola Produce Co., Swift Processed Foods (formerly known as Plumrose), Larry Michael of Celebrity FASTWRAPZ , Transport Trailer Service, Precision Machine & Metal Fabrication, Precision Hose & Industrial Supply, Chief Bart Aguirre and the Tupelo Police Department, V.M. Cleveland of the Tupelo Furniture Market, and Kevin Russell and 98.1 The Farm, WTVA (news coverage), WCBI (news coverage), MSU Lee County Extension Service, Lee Bowdry (Lee County Emergency Management - (mask donation), Morris Miley (Images Fabric Design - mask donation). This vital program is sponsored by the USDA Farmers to Families and the USDA and is a true blessing to so many who are needing help during this time of crisis.  

 

We have been blessed to have so many wonderful and dedicated volunteers that continue to generously offer their support and hearts to help make this event happen.  We are extremely thankful for all of their hard work and support!  Some of our volunteers include: Mississippi Highway Patrol Troop F, ICC nursing students, ICC faculty, Mooreville Troopers Softball Team, as well as  participation from our hard working and dedicated community citizens, all volunteering and working together for this ongoing weekly food giveaway.  You are all true heroes and are so very appreciated!!!
