WE ARE PART OF THE COMMUNITY

Our strength is our diversity, a shelter from adversity.

The Family Resource Center believes in the intrinsic worth and dignity of all humans. We welcome and support peoples of all races, ethnicities, socio-economic backgrounds, or any other category people may use to define themselves or others.

We aim to create a safe and inclusive environment to foster positive relationships and celebrate diversity!

Camp Calico

Celebrating Diversity with Summer Fun at Camp Calico!

This summer, we held the first annual Camp Calico to help the children in our community learn about racial equity, fairness, kindness, empathy, and other complex topics through fun, hands-on activities!

We made friendship bracelets, baked cookies, learned about sign language, and more. Our children even created portraits of their future selves!

“I learned about playing with kids who

may be different and helping others.”

“In camp, I learned about being kind to each other. "

“I learned about being strong”

“While observing the children being unique during the Racial Equity Camp, the children were able to explore, write, and color in their own world. Overall, I feel the camp was a great success.”

TRAININGS

Encourage Others to Celebrate Diversity When You Host an Event or Training with Us!

Our communities grow stronger when children and families feel supported. Many people know they need help but don't know where they can find it. Our training educates you on the resources available in your local community to help support children and families!

When your business or organization hosts an event with us, you learn to encourage empathy, promote racial equity, and create safe environments for all people.

When you attend one of our trainings or events, share a photo on your social media and use the

hashtag #Stand4RacialEquity so we can see!

We're always here to help.
